    size 1700/1720 vs 1500/1520

    i wish i would have looked further into this prior, i posted asking about size before buying and everyone told me the 17xx was so much bigger than the 15xx series.... so for those that are wondering the 17xx's are:

    15.5 wide
    11.5 deep
    1.7 high

    the 15xx's are:

    14.12 wide
    10.59 deep
    1.47 high

    and there is only just a hair over 1lb difference between them with normal config's things like dual hd's etc does add weight though..


    so for those deciding there is not much difference between the two... i wish i went with the 17xx now... if something ends up making me re-order i will def go that way...

    1 lb will make more of a difference than you think.

    yes but if you really want portability id personally go with the 14 or even a 12" laptop the difference between the 15 and 17 really isnt that much ...
