    Hi,
I have a Inspiron 1150 with a sloppy earphone connector that I would like to fix, change, or work around. Can anyone give me any guidance here?
    Thanks,
    ..... john

    Hi,
No, it works, but it's sloppy and tends to make poor contact. I'm thinking of going for one of those USB sound cards. I've seen them for about $10. That should do it. What do you think?

should work, i would find it cumbersome tho, killing a usb for sound. and for 10 bucks what quality of sound are you going to get? you could look into a express card for sound. might pay a little more but you might end up with better sound then what you had to begin with.

    Hi J,
I'll let you know how it is. I'm going today to get one (usb sound card). If you don't hear from me, feel free to write and ask.
    Thanks,
