    hi!
ok i'm having problems with my ew xps 1330. i recently had to format the computer, because while running windows xp (was working fine) my hard disk stop working and it alwasy gave me "partition table not valid" problem which i could not even fix after 2 hours with dell at the phone.
anyway i saved my data, foramted the hard disk, because thx god the hard disk didn't die, but there were some weird files...probably virus.
anyway i renstalled windows XP, but its working slow, weird slow
example: i press ctrl + alt +del.... and it takes some time to sjhow the screen
im gonna move a window....it takes sometime as well
it says im using 814 mb of file paging, and 8-17% of CPU, running only explorer (photoshop open but not working). its not all the time that its happening but its happening a lot, and i have 2 gb of ram and the 2.00 ghz, the nvidia 8400, 160 gb.....im not getting it
please what can i do? what is wrong?
last time i formated the computer i formated everything... the recovery partition, the dell media partition, and installed windows on a clean hard disk.
also im running zonealarm antivirus (which is not a heavy program)
and i don't have many programs running on the background

    im open to suggestions
    thxs!!

I think something may be wrong with your hard drive.

Run HDTune and post your results. We'll be able to tell you if they're normal or not, and if not, call Dell and get your HDD replaced.

Did you install the proper graphic drivers? Default windows drivers for the 8400 will cause slow display drawing/refresh.
