    snyc media buttons w/ itunes?

    I have a m6300 with media buttons up front, I was wondering if it was possible to use the media buttons to contoll my itunes(next, pause, play, stop, etc..). The media buttons only work when i have itunes selected as my main window... So while browsing the internet pressing next wont change the song.

    Is there a way to sync it?

    I think you would need some third-party software to do that, not sure if such software exists. I could be wrong though.

    I've searched high and low to try to get my media buttons to work without itunes being in focus and unfortunately.. no you just cannot do it. :mad:

    I had problems with this too - luckily there's a solution.
    iTunesKeys lets you map any keys (including the media buttons) to iTunes function. If you set that up and keep it running, the buttons work perfectly even when iTunes isn't in focus.

    (edit) This is on an XPS M1530, but I'd assume it works on other models as well.

    Look around on Google, because I've found a plugin for Winamp that works great with the media buttons on my Inspiron 6000.
