I've had my 1420 for about 6 weeks now, and I've been keeping it very clean and dust-free, I find myself fairly often trying to wipe off fingerprint oils from the cover. I've typically been using the same lens-cleaning rag I use on my screen, but theres lots of fricton between the material of the rag and the material on the cover, so it makes it a tricky task. How is everyone else coping with the issue?

Microfiber cloth with a bit of warm water. If it's a small spot, a damp paper towel (the soft kind, like Bounty) works too.

    Great to know!

What about cleaning a Glossy 17" inspiron screen?

I am super paranoid about messing up my computer using the wrong thing to clean it and ruining it.

Get the Monster Screen Cleaner kit (comes with 2 bottles of cleaner and a microfiber cloth for about $10).

This stuff cleans everything on your laptop (palmrest, keyboard, screen, microsatin/soft touch finish, etc)

    AND it works great.....
