and for 2 million digits, i hit a 1m 41s with 1.73 GHz Pentium M w/533 MHz fsb, 512 (2x256) mb ddr2, 100gb seagate 5,400. the only thing i can think of that might attribute that speed is the hard drive since that was put in after i got the computer? i saw other reviews that have the

Hard drive makes no difference for Pi.

I don't think a second is significant at all. It's just a useful metric to compare with other notebooks.
