    ultimate on my vostro 1500?? i know is a hard drive driver or controller driver but im unsure of the actual one thats needed... i downloaded all the ones off dell's site and i have my disk as well they sent me.. lmk please thanks i want to swap this home basic out for my ultimate version!!

    there is no need to re-install the OS, the OS SKU is the same for all flavors of Vista. The PID unlocks the version. Just upgrade your OS by entering in your Ultimate PID and the Ultimate features will become unlocked.

    Well no the SKU isn't the same for all distrubutions of Vista, do you even know what a SKU is?

    Vista retail disks have all editions on it, and the key unlocks the version...correct...but Vista included by Dell is an OEM version and only has the one version only.

    no way this can be loade via cd though huh?? i dont have a floppy or a usb dongle i can use.. hmmmmmm...
