From what I've heard, the build quality is pretty solid. There was one case I read about on the forums where someone actually got a brand new non-refurb replacement. Though I'm sure that rarely happens EVER.

I have bought one M1330 refurb and two desktops that were in great shape and worked fine. The only way you could tell that they were refurb is the special stick they have on the bottom. The Outlet is definitely a great place to save a decent amount of money and get things quickly.

I bought my XPS M140 notebook from Dell Outlet two years ago. I would say that it was indeed flawless and indistinguishable from new, save for the small "refurbished" sticker on the bottom. Even the accessories were in original sealed packaging. It was just like getting a brand new machine.

My brother-in-law just had a similar experience a couple of months ago with an Inspiron from Dell Outlet.

Just steer clear of the Scratch and Dent. Sometimes those can have some significant cosmetic flaws...or so I've heard.

A friend of mine get's his notebooks from the outlet. Are they 100% flawless, no. You would literally have to take a "magnifying glass" to find the "imperfections". ;) :D

He has been happy with the purchases he has made, except for a shipping problem he had once ;) :)

    Hope that helps ;) :)

Count me in! :) My computer's pretty much spotless. Even more impressive was that it is considered a "scratch and dent" system.

Makes me wonder what constitutes a scratch or a dent to Dell....

    Highly Recommended.

Yeah they are super fast shipping from the Outlet. I called to cancel one desktop I ordered Friday night on a Saturday and they said they already shipped it out. It was at my house that Tuesday.

I can vouch for outlet also. Certified refurb systems are basically brand new, and ships VERY fast (in a day usually).

I have my system order from outlet. The appearance is perfect. However, its screen has some issues. Therefore, needless to say, you should not expect the complete perfection when you order from outlet. However, I would say dell outlet system is almost in new condition.

Besides, if you found your system is imperfect, you can request a return or exchange. It will take time, but it absolutely worth the money you save.
