ok, first, if i call dell, do you think i'll be able to get them to give me ultimate? i don;t understrand why the 1500 doesn't offer it, but the vostro 1500 does.
secondly, is the wireless n card backwards compatible with g? it doesn't say AGN like some other cards do, and i need to have the g capability.
thirdly, are either of these options worth it? and what are they?

The Vostro offers Ultimate because it has all the features of Business AND has the media stuff like Home Premium. Ultimate is really just Home Premium with Business stuff, and a few extras not worth it. Unless there's something in Ultimate you specifically want, you probably don't need it.
Dell offers two Wireless-N modules, I believe. Their own, and the Intel one. I don't know about their own, but the Intel one is backwards compatible.
Neither of the Creative solutions are worth much. Most people say the Audigy Software Edition doesn't sound any different than default, and the Express Card will only help for movies a little bit. Some people are complaining the headphones output onboard has chirping noises, though, so I think the Express Card would get around that. -
Vista Business wasn't an option on the website when I ordered it back in June. So I called them up and ordered it over the phone and they gave me business on it. So I would guess it would be the same with Ultimate.
