hi all.
i've been waiting a couple months for a new laptop, saving up monies and researching like crazy. i think i've settled on a m1530 but i have a couple of questions.
1. how does dell deal with apo warranty issues? do they send it to you, or would i have to have it sent to my home and then sent to me? and also is return shipping paid for?
2. with the new platform on the way, dell has been near silent. i take this to mean that there might not be anything in the works as far as xps for a while. is montevina worth waiting for as far as the battery savings and performance?
3. when i order is the money taken out that day or do they take the money out when the system is built?
thanks for any reply, and i look forward to owning a 1530 soon because that 25% off is looking too good to pass up

The depot warranty they send a box and you send it and they send it back ( they pay shipping all ways). At home warranty a guy comes to your house usually next day if possible. This is usually the best option.
There will be new computers. A company doesnt like to announce new upcoming products as people like to hold off buying the current models. If you need the laptop now, it wont be worth it to wait, but if you can wait do.
They put a hold on the funds if you use a credit card to make sure the money is there then release it and dont officially bill you/charge you till the laptop ships out. -
Awesome.
Thank you so much. I put in my order today, so soon i will be the proud owner of a new XPS!
some questions before i buy
