just thought I'd share this ad posted today on Washington DC craigslist. I have been shopping/following the threads - just missing the 'Drake' and other early on discounts; not thrilled by the prospect of waiting so long etc...anyway-wonder how much this owner is profitting? Not it states Dell's sales price; not what this owner paid.

    Dell XPS/m1330 120GB/2GM/128 mb Nvidia/3 yr on site warranty - $1975

This is the hottest new laptop in the country today, and there is about a 5-6 week delay at least from you order it from Dell until you receive it. I ordered mine in late June and just received it today (Aug 2). Since ordering it I decided I didn't like the long wait time and got a Thinkpad X61 I am happy with, so no longer need the 1330..

This unit has the very desirable very bright LED screen (330 nits)which was a upgrade from the standard LCD screen. Rather than return it to Dell and suffer a 15% restocking fee and wait 1-2 months for the charge credit, I am selling it on here for cash buyers - local pickup only. If you want this laptop right away without waiting 5-6 weeks then this is your best bet. Exact specs are below, please note the warranty has been upgraded to 3 years on site with lo-jack protection for 3 years in addition to accidental protection which means if you break, drop it or it suffers any kind of physical/screen damage Dell will replace/repair it for free.

Dell charges $2045.00 for this laptop with the exact configuration specs below and they almost never have any coupons or discounts on XPS machines. My price is $1975 firm for local cash buyers only. If interested please email or call me at 703-919-0530.

I would say they are making about 700.00 on you. Still a good price if you need it now.
