This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I haven't touched any settings on my vostro, but for some odd reason, the laptop startup button and the media direct button have switched!

    'How could this happen and what do I do to revert this?

    I had a similar issue but both booted media direct only partway to end up crashing. I was forced to reinstall windows but for you I am not sure.
