is that sound blaster upgrade even worth it for dell? or will u not notice anything
-
No it's not worth it. It's just software.
-
wow just software?i thought it was a sound card >.>
yeah the 20$ wouldn't be worth it then -
Nope, not a soundcard. Only the "ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi® Xtreme Audio Sound Card" is actually a sound card.
-
I just ordered this on my laptop. Is this worth buying? I plan to use the Blu-ray player on my laptop with my TV and I may use the audio via the HDMI cable. Also, I may do some gaming on it.
-
If you use HDMI for your audio, than the sound card is useless. It's useful for connecting speakers directly to the laptop; it'll increase the output sound quality.
-
Wow, so it will have a minimal, if any, impact on HD audio via HDMI? Is it the same for games with the laptop speakers? (minimal if any impact)
-
From what I understand, on a notebook, it only affects what you plug in it. I'll do a bit of research on this, but I'm pretty sure about this.
-
I eagerly await what you find. I'm doing some research on the subject myself, so I'll take some of the burden off of you.
-
well if it is for external speakers..then the 20$ is worth it
-
Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I'm not sure |crash| was talking about the Soundblaster software you were referring to. I think he was talking about the sound card.
-
The $20 Sound Blaster upgrade is NOT a sound card. It's a suite of software.
The Expresscard X-Fi is a sound card. I believe this is more than a $20 upgrade. -
OHH its all good now..thanks...lol
-
