I ordered a Dell E1505, I love every bit of the computer except the screen , I ordered the WXGA 15.4" Ultra sharp with true life. It has the sparkle/dust/texture/coating. You can see what i am talking about on notebookreview. It makes the screen bright where ur looking but where your not, its very dim. Also if you have a white background up you can see the problem. What i wanna know is it the brand name of the LCD, or is it a coating that dell puts on the screen?

Help I want my dell e1505 without the sparkle effect.

if they replace it, you stand as good a chance of getting something worse as something better, and you cant specify what screen you want, you'll get whatever they grab off the shelf

I've had both the LG and the Samsung. Sounds like you have the Samsung. It was fussy with vertical viewing angles. The LG is also quite a bit brighter.

    The Samsung code is SEC.
