Well people in my country is summer, and from some days (4-5 days) my Studio 1535 has annoying for me HDD and GPU temperatures.
I will attach old picture and current picture and you can compare the temperatures.
Plus the fan stays on higher speed and it just don't want to turn itself back to normal light speed mode, I guess because high HDD and GPU temperatures.
    Any suggestions?

Yeah, not really the most straightforward screens... the temps are in his taskbar in both shots.

    At any rate...

Might that not be the "problem" here? Just Maybe?

Oh, now I see, they all are in the taskbar. Well, the first and very simple question - Have you ever tried cleaning your vents with some compressed air?

Geez, now I see them, not really straight forward lol, whole screen used just to show some tiny numbers which are color coded in a way I still don't understand hehe. >_<

But yeh, seems like it is due to the room temperature.
In winter my laptop CPU/GPU goes to around 40-50c idles
    summer it is around 50-60.

But the harddrive temperatures are 23winter-34summer.

So i'm guessing not so healthy harddrive temperature, am I reading 47 on that screenshot?

    black one is HDD,
    blue GPU,
    red CPU,Core 1,Core 2
I just opened my notebook and check the fan - it is very clear.no problem.
I guess HDD affect GPU, or vise versa?!
TonyZ: HDD 31 on first screen, 37 on second!

First screen shot - is old screen shot from month or two.
    Second is from now.
You can clearly see 5-6 C difference between HDD (from 31 to 37 C) and GPU (49-53 to 57 C)

    P.S.
Both screen shots are taken in normal office work mode, and they represent old constant and now constant situation.

By the way my AC adapter always make something like sparks in its first contact with the wallplug.
My friend with ASUS suffer from the same problem so we consider it as something normal.

Those are perfectly normal and acceptable temperatures. The difference can easily be attributed to the change in ambient air temperature.

hm Can i decrease them a little may be with arctic silver, because:
When CPU hits 60 C fan stars kicking faster.
And after CPU cool down to 48-55 the fan must decrease its speed
but I already noted if HDD has high temperature the fan stuck on faster speed permanently, until I shutdown the computer

I dunno if it is bug or something but it is really annoying.
In normal situation the fan decrease and increase its speed well depending on the temperatures (especially CPU).

anyway thank you for the comment Mastershroom

    my hdd temp is-
    /dev/sda: WDC WD2500BEVS-75UST0: 42°C

    and cpu temps are-
    acpitz-virtual-0
    Adapter: Virtual device
    temp1: +45.5°C (crit = +127.0°C)

    coretemp-isa-0000
    Adapter: ISA adapter
    Core 0: +34.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

    coretemp-isa-0001
    Adapter: ISA adapter
    Core 1: +40.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

recently my hdd gone wild. i dont know if its becouse of this temps ? room temp is normal right now like 31-33 C.

That's a bit high for the HDD. The maximum operating temperature for that harddrive is 43C. You had better find a cooling solution such as a cooling pad. The computer will shut off if the CPU or GPU reaches it's lmits, which is why I'm usually not concerned with their temperatures, however, the the computer will not turn off if the harddrive is past it's temperature limits. Your harddrive is screaming at you, heed it's warning. :p

Do you have the 7200RPM or 5400RPM HDD?

How high can HDD temps go? and what happens when the hdd overheats?
My friend's hp dv2700 runs super warm. Cores idle around 70-80 C and hdd around 60 C. It still runs...though it might cause problems later...

I've only known decreased performance to be the main result of heat. I don't think I've had a harddrive completely fail due to heat, but how would I tell? Harddrives fail anyways. Most harddrives, if not all, are rated for 55-60C. Of course, in a perfect world, the harddrive temperature shouldn't go above 20C.

i think I just have found the problem.
In my native home I have wood board where I place my notebook.
Here I had glazed board, and it just don't want to take the hot air off my computer.
So guys pay attention on your surface...
Oh and why I played around my fan, risking possible damage for nothing.

Perhaps you should invest in a cooling pad.

I agree. If you've tried everything else then a cooling pad should bring the temperatures down significantly.

thanks for the idea but I hate cooling pads
I double checked the fan and the heat sink!
    I found little dust.
I have one rug here, and everything around me is in little red filaments, it is really stupid stuff, but it is from my mother and...So I blame the rug for part of my problems (please note: the dust was from other not from the rug)

By the way I found the way my cooling system is suppose to work.
fan speed depending mostly on CPU temperature.
CPU under 60 - 2819 RPM Slow speed
    CPU over 60 - 3200 RPM
    .....
    But here is little trick.
My fan don't want to drop its speed down back to 2819 RPM until the GPU is over 56 C!It is super strange but it is fact.

At this moment my temperatures looks like near to fine CPU 41; GPU 54
the only problem is HDD - 37 C
From long time I had something on my mind for this HDD , but we will see
thank you for the support guys
