Hi, I seem to have done a very stupid thing and accidently put two cd disks in my slot drive on my xps 1330. I now cannot get them out of the drive and there is no eject button like for regular drives. I know there was a thread about this somewhere but I looked and could not find it. Does anyone have any idea of what to do? TIA, Yasmine

 Wow, I have an XPS M1530, and now this scares me that I could possibly make the same mistake with the slot-loading drive!

There's probably no way you could fix this without sending your M1330 in for repairs, unless you wanna open up your computer and remove the disks (I can see how unlikely it is for you to do that). Your gonna have to send it for repairs or get a computer expert to do so... that's too bad...

    bummer...........

    scary...........

Try exploring your computer, select the drive, Right click on the drive, now select Eject this soft eject sometimes work or the other way is when system is booting up press the eject button on media panel.. if the 1330 has one.....

Kind of odd that this is possible, surely it would feel kind of hard to put the disc in if one is already in there? like some force would be needed????

if the disc is jammed at the top maybe some tweezers will do the job, if that aint workng taking the thing apart would be the next step... not at all hard with M1330... easer than others ive taken apart.

Hi, thanks for all your replies. You would have thought it would have taken some pressure to feed the second disk in that slot drive but it did not; I would not have pushed it in (shrug). I thought about taking it apart but am too scared that I would not be able to put it back together (way too many small screws and fiddly small parts) so I called Dell. I am sending it back (in Canada there is no in house service, only return to depot) and hopefully will get it back soon (two days, three maybe). Too bad there is not an easy way to deal with this because it is all to easy to do. I am going to put some sort of tape or barrier in front of the drive opening when I get it back to prevent me from doing this again! By the way, I tried tweezers when I could see the second disk's edge just a bit out of the drive but ended up pushing it in further, sigh....!
