    What is the little black square on the front of the studio 15. Its on the very front, the same length from the side as the right mouse button...If you need a better explanation of what I'm looking at let me know

    You mean the fingerprint reader?

    Is that the slider to open your laptop when/if it clicks shut? I'm thinking it isn't because you probably would have noticed.

    Studios don't click shut. My only guess is maybe that's where the bluetooth comes from, lol. I have no idea but I just realized there was a plastic protector piece that i hadn't peeled off yet on it

    100% sure it's the IR receiver for the remote :D

    Its the IR (infa-red) reciever - used for old the Dell Xpress Card Media Remote (optional extra). Hope this helps.
