    studio 15 wifi problem (wifi light)

    this is my labtop
    Dell Studio 15 | Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5750 | Jet Black | Widescreen 15.4 WLED display | 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 | 320GB SATA Hard Drive | 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 | Windows® Vista Home Premium |



    my problem with wirless and wifi light:
    the light of wifi dose not work , but bluetouth light work fine !!!
    when i try to connet wirless network its failed to connect (i think becous the light of wifi dose not work !!)

    my attempts to solve this problem:
    1-uninstall the wirless drive and install the last vertion from dell site.
    the light work for 5 seconds and retrun off !!!

    2- format and install vista from the dell CD and then i install the wirless drive.

    i become very tired plz help me

    Check your WiFi switch on the left side of the notebook.

    Are you talking about the one near the touch buttons or the one in the hinge.

    There is a thread running on the 2nd page as of now named " Studio owners: please press your wifi catcher!" check it out ... (Wow!! cant paste a link to a thread within this forum)

    It's the switch right about the HDMI slot. It turns off your WiFi.

    i have the same problem as topmax,& none of the suggestion worked for me.please help.

    There is no supported channels for you location.

    1- Change it from control panel >> Regional and language (I prefer United states)

    2- Restart you computer

    If it didn't work, uninstall the wireless drive and Dell wireless wlan utility and install it again
