i want to buy the 1557 with the core i7,

i read about the freeze problems in this machine and i wanted to know if it still exists?

the problems were due to software and old drivers.these are already resolved by new releases of the softwares and drivers.

the best soln is to order online.

AFAIK the 1557 comes with i7's only.
U must be having a 1558.upgrade to latest BIOS and drivers and the freezing problem might be solved.

I have a 1557 and absolutely no problems at all.Had minor replacements but it works like a wizard.
