    studio 1558 speakers not loud enough!

    is it just me or other people find it the speakers not loud enough?

    i have tryd to change in control panel but not much different

    Hum. I have the Creative Software option and I find the volume very very loud.

    Try uninstalling the IDT Drivers and then installing the Microsoft ones. I had the same problem (many others did as well). Uninstalling the IDT Audio drivers is what worked for me and the others.

    I've just been having audio problems on my Dell studio 17 and fixed by removing the IDT driver.
    Fortunately, my laptop has integrated Creative sound blaster, so I could use that instead of the IDT sound driver.

    So if you happen to have another integrated sound chip you should use it.
