My fan is never audible and I overclock the video card by about 100 MHz when gaming. I am surprised as hell, but the temps stay nice and cool. I could not get speed fan to control my fans as Intel boards are not supported for some reason. Maybe it is possible, but it has not worked for me.

    Hi.

why dont you get a system with a p8400 processor it`s 2.2ghz and only uses 25watts opposed to the T8100 35watts, it will be a bit more expensive but you will get longer battery life.

    Regards

    John.

I8kfanGUI is a way of controlling the fan speed. You can also try undervolting or a notebook cooler.

Hi, my fan is running all the time and it is annoying. The temperature ia always below 40 degree most the time it is even below 30 degree but the fan is running. I tryed all programms I could find, none of them could control the fan in a statisfying way (either on or off, or mouse not working anymore..). Dell offered to excange the laptop, it should be here next week.
