I'm planing on buying the studio 17 - mainly for graphic design (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

    I can't decide on the screen -

1440*900 wled - a LED screen, best kind of screen around - a big plus for graphic designers.

0r the WUXGA(1920*1200) screen (for bigger layout), but no led.

    which should I choose?

(please help, I'm buying it in a few hours!!!)

I just ordered a Studio 17 today. When you get to the cart, it shows the screen info up top...........

.........BUT when you go to the bottom of the cart it says that the 1920x1200 screen IS a WLED screen

Yeah that's bothering me. If I knew that I would have chosen the 1920x1200. Whatever though, nothing to fret about.

I just noticed that on my (Friday) order confirmation as well. I kind of blew it off (especially since I've already met my daily quota of unintentional Dell rumor-spreading). But, now that someone else has seen it...

So, what do you think? Is it some strange (and cruel) form of "typo" or did Dell really just quietly upgrade us all to LED-LCD 1920x1200 displays?

Personally - I just usually don't get that lucky ;)

if you're using it for graphic design, you're going to want the larger res over the LED. unless you're going to hook it up to a 24'' with a 1920x1200 res and do your work on the external, the extra screen space is a must when working on large projects. I know because i use my computer for just about the samething plus some other content creation programs.
