Its me again. After 2 motherboard replacements in 4 months, the first only a week after i got my laptop, another problem.

Just had the motherboard replaced a week ago, and I now notice that I have really really bad keyboard flex. If i push the H key the whole keyboard sinks in, and also there is a bulge between the space bar and alt key.

I know there wasnt this much flex when i first got the laptop, because after reading a good number of reviews it was the first thing i checked for. The bulge also wasnt there.

Anyone here know where I can find a guide to taking apart the laptop. I read somwhere that the bulge might just be because of some wires not being put back into position by the so called dell "engineers".

Seriously after spending so much money, shouldn't these small things be dealt with before the laptop getting sent out. I hate having to deal with the customer service and holding for half an hour only for them to say, we see nothing wrong or we will send out another "engineer"!!!

Sorry for ranting, but my brother got his 1737 a few weeks ago. Better then mine in everway. The fan doesn't turn on every minute or so and there is no keyboard flex at all!!! Just makes me regret getting the laptop when I did now.

Again sorry for all the text and ranting! Feel free to flame.

Just need a guide on how to take the studio 17 apart.

    Thanks for the help.

Just like to thank you Voltaire. Found the guide to dismantle the keyboard. Took the keyboard out and put it back in and now the flex has been reduced by loads. I barely notice it now. Thank you very much.

I took my keyboard off to do the same and found a wad of masking tape wrapped around the small keyboard connection plug, the broken piece was there wrapped up with the tape. Unbelievable. Will post pic when I get a minute.
