Hi just found this huge forum!,i am wondering if anyone has had/got this issue.

I have a dell studio 1749,and what ive noticed is the bezel around the webcam area seems to click/pop out slightly when the lid is opened from fully closed.

    thanks for any help :)

    Hi craggles

Mine is exactly the same. If you open the lid it does exactly as you state, pop out slightly, and you just have to click it back into place again once open ;)

I took my bezel apart aswell to check it wasnt defective, but all the clips seem to be in place and intact, so i just think that is how it is...

I've just had to get used to opening the lid via the two top corners of the screen instead - took a while to get used to but prevents the bezel from popping and clicking ;)

How long have you had yours?,,ive only had mine about 5 weeks, but it did it from day one,,my only concern is if its a design fault im not to worried, but im worried it may break the webcam or the screen..

My 1747 does the same thing since day one - I expect the case/screen here is exactly the same as the 1749. Seems like a design or manufacture fault/quirk. Like 'R-Murphy' I've got into the habit of opening it gingerly/carefully and fingers crossed it doesn't develop into anything worse
