My laptop was working fine last night before I turned it off, and now this morning it won't allow me to connect to my wireless network. I can't figure out why it won't let me since I didn't change any options. Did I turn it off on accident or did something screw up?It won't detect any networks and the Wifi light isn't on. I'm hoping I just turned it off on accident some how rather than it breaking on me....

    Fn + F2 to re-enable the card.

Would this have anything to do with me reinstalling Windows? I just reinstalled Quickset and it still doesn't detect any networks... but I'm using it on my desktop to connect. Gah, this is annoying.

Nevermind, got it fixed, thanks. I have no idea what went wrong with it though, I went to the bathroom, came back, and it said it was connected to the internet already. I think it's screwing with my mind....

I'm sure you rebooted your notebook, and assuming that didn't solve it, try uninstalling the wireless drivers.

What client are you using to connect(or attempt to?).

    Edit: nevermind, solved :)

    Pwnstar,

I was too lazy to find this thread so sent a pm... but now I stumbled on it again. I think you may experience erratic wireless (I do with my D610)... and it looks like the cure is mentioned in the thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=145848
(I have made the same setting change and am waiting to see if it resolves my intermittent problems in wireless hotspots)

Guys, I have found a solution for my problem, but this may not be the same for the problem you are facing. The reason my wireless wasn't working was because some setting in my wireless card driver was wrong. This could have been by default or been caused by when I reformatted my computer and reinstalled new drivers.

I corrected this problem by uninstalling my wireless card driver from the device manager. A few moments later, it reinstalled itself as another Broadcomm device but it allowed me to connect to the internet after that. Hope this helps.
