I just would like to know what is exactly a "travelite travel modul". secondly, can somebody tell me what is the weight of a 4 cell battery, a 6 cell battery and a secondary bay battery....?

I would like to buy an inspiron 510m and dell tells it has a weight of 2.5 kg with a travelite module and a 4 cell battery....but I have taken with options a 6 cell battery and a secondary 6 cell battery for the bay.

    thanks for your help.

A Travel lite module is basically a plastic filler for where your optical drive site - fills in the space, so you can safely travel without the CD drive - makes it lighter.

I'm not sure about the weight difference between the 4- and 6-cell batteries, although I don't think that it is too signifigant, maybe a few ounces...

I do not know about anyone else, having a 700m, I took out the DVD burner and frankly it weighs nothing itself, I had trouble actually telling what was lighter the plastic module or the DVD drive.
