    Hi. everyone. I'm going to buy a Inspiron 6000D. Many people told me: "HP, Sony, Toshiba is better than Inspiron 6000D". They are bright and clear. Do you think that ?

    i like my wuxga matte screen. i don't think the 6000 has a glossy screen, if that is what you're talking about. why not take a look at the 6400? i think those come with glossy screens.

    Yeah, too bad i6000 doesnt have glossy screen....I love my i6000 but the screen :(

    does the "true life" option makes them glossy?
    what is ultra bright and what is true life?

    "TrueLife" is Dell's glossy coating for their screens - I'm not sure if I6000s had the same problems as the I9300s/some I9400s do, but check for light leakage.

    Different manufacturers have different names for the glossy coating they put on screen. Dell uses trulife, Sony uses xbrite, HP uses ultraview,. etc. I think ultrabright is for gateway machines.

    Sony have some of the best screens on the market, but their machines are overpriced imo and I've heard their customer serv. has a bad rep.

    If the screen was true life it would be alot better
