I have my original order of 7/19 for blue. Still in build.
I also ordered a black one with the same specs on 8/7 still in build.

Whichever one goes into boxing first is the one I'll keep, the other will get cancelled.

I have to get something before this tired old Inspiron 8100 that I'm typing on finally quits.

 

my blue was actually in boxing when I canceled it. Due to different coupons in ordering, the black was $200 cheaper. I couldn't pass that up.

If you picked black in the last week or so and it's still not boxing by now, something else is holding you up (probably processor, screen or graphics card or all three).

There may be a delay on processors or graphics cards but as long as I get it by 8/22 (promised delivery date) I will be ok (not happy but ok). Regardless, I will be writing a long descriptive letter to Dell about the very poor CS. They may not be able to control when my parts come in, but they can control who they hire to represent their company.

EDIT: didn't see black in thread title so you don't have to add me to the list, but I did reorder lol...

This may sound stupid but I re-ordered a blue again on 8/1. I wasn't reordering to get it earlier, but I re-ordered because I ordered through a rep my mom's business always orders with and I got a much better deal. I considered going black to get it earlier but the rep assured me color wasn't the issue (yeah right). It only pushed my estimated ship date back two days though anyways..

I could've went with black, but I really like blue and I can wait it out... even if it doesn't get here before I go to college.

 

Ordered 1520 Ruby red, T7300 on July 26, ESD Aug 14, delayed until Aug 22, second delay to mid September.

well look at coolsax, we ordered on the same date and we have the same type of laptop, but he has a different processor and graphics card. So I will find out what it is soon

well just got done talking with a Rep, its the processor thats slowing the build down; But should be done and boxed by the end of the week. But now I got free next day shipping =)

 

I think that if you ordered it beginning of the week vs. towards the end of the week the times can vary in processing. I don't know if this holds true but me and JDBan had ordered it beginning of the week and you had yours towardsthe end. But I wouldn't be suprised if you went into boxing tommorow since you ordered a day ahead of us. And for coolsax, he may have had a different specs.

I got mine last night. I went and picked it up from the local DHL hub. The only problem I had (which really isn't a problem) is they didn't include the webcam. I'm not complaining though, because that is probably why I received my order in about a week after reordering.

 

Boo, mine is still in build, oh well, congrats to all of ya'll that have moved on!!

Wow you've had yours shipped out pretty quick! Mine shipped out this morning as well so next monday, I'll have it on my door hopefully.

 

Hopefully mine can ship tomorrow, even though it is Saturday.

 

I heard that sometimes they ship with fed ex on a saturday

congrats. You might get yours the same day I get mine, even though mine shipped a day earlier (weekend and all).

 

I'm really hoping on monday, but tuesday and wednesday is just fine.
