Not sure what happened but I noticed recently that the scrolling option on the tpad doesnt work anymore, I did recently put a new theme on my computer, would that have anything to do with it?

Check your drivers and your settings.

another annoying thing is when i'm typing, my hand will touch the touchpad even really briefly and it will jump the cursor to the pointer position and completely mess up my typing. :/ I don't remember this happening before and it shouldn't do that as it's not set on light touch or anything, it seems even the slightly touch will do it. But main issue is still with the scroll bar :/ it's annoying it doesn't work now.

if you open the Dell Touchpad application, go to change Touchpad settings and turn off Tap To Click that will solve your accidental clicks, but it will mean you actually have to click the button every time.
