I downloaded the vostro 1500 zip file. We need to get a collection of the zip files people downloaded and serve them up in a torrent or on something like rapidshare.

 

Grabbed it before the lock and GOOD FIND!!!!!

Its an excellent source for those who have it now for just about everything.

Worst off if you get pissed at a Rep just tell him he needs to review his material and refer to page such and such!!!

downloading the inspiron 1520 manual shows us that there is a freaking cable that snakes across half of the computer for the headphone jack (front, under the touchpad to around the hard drive then around the CPU (what were the thinking?) then to the headphone jack...

is this the reason for CPU noise?? (could also explain HD noise)

it's too late for me since I'm locked out, but it'd be nice to know if there are any differences between the Vostro 1500 (which I have not) and the Inspiron 1520 manual (which happen to be downloading thanks to a poster I'm repping right now ). Anybody cared to download both manuals, or is it just one manual for both models?

It's easy enough to sign up, all you need is a Dell customer number, and they'll give you log in information once you finish the sign up process. I couldn't find a link to the same index page, but after you log in you can access the index page just fine. I'm currently downloading all of the manuals on that page, but my internet connection sucks so it will take a while. I would recommend that you sign up yourselves, this could take me some time.

You have to have ordered a Dell product, and it will be contained in some of the various emails that you would have gotten. Other than that, it may be on some of the documentation that you might have from the order, not for the laptop itself.

 

It seems to be reserved to US customers only.
My customer code won't work.

LOL. No, I don't think so. They'd have to prove you actually tampered with your lappy, and not only had a peek at its pictures naked.

Call Dell and they will tell u your customer number, otherwise its on every invoice you have ever recived from any Dell purchase.

Thanks for the link bit that link isn't working for me. Well the link to sendspace works but the download link returns a 404...Strange...Is it working for anyone else?

I'll try uploading the M1330 manual, but it will take about half an hour.

 

Don't know if it's my connection or Dell just got smart but I can't access any of that stuff anymore... all takes me to the login page...

 

I can't even download it through my account..looks like an error on Sendspace's side. Maybe chelet's will work when he/she gets it up.

OK my link for the m1330 manual works now. Just tried it a minute ago. Let me know if anyone else wants a manual and can't get login at the Dell site.

 

I hope I did this right. Pick whichever manual you need out of the torrent, but it would be helpful if more than one person could help seed them all.
