most people would recommend fibercloth. You can use it to get the dust off when it the cloth is dry. Then get it damp, and use it to get off finger prints or anything that wouldn't come off when it is dry.

The one i have is ShaggyMac. I got it because it doubles as a cloth to clean the screen, but you can also use it to protect your screen. It lays over your keyboard when you have the lid shut, so that nothing is touch the screen. Plus if you have dust/crumbs in your keyboard, it won't get on the screen if you put it in a bag.

Does it work the same way whether you turn it on first or turn it on after you boot up windows?

I think on the M140 Media Direct works without windows. It shouldn't matter whether you are in windows or not (I think that is your question). If you have the laptop off, and push play, Dell's Media Experience should come up and give you the option to listen to music, play dvds, and I think view photos. If you are in XP, then it will just run like normal software. Media Experience will load and give you the choice.

My laptop doesn't have Media direct, so i'm not exactly which will load when the laptop is off. I think Dell's Media Experience loads either way.

Is that what you were asking?

What size ShaggyMac did you end up buying for your M140? I'd like to purchase one for my E1405, but don't have the notebook w/ me right now. According to Dell, the dimensions of the E1405 are 12.99" x 9.56"

I'm currently looking for the following sizes on Shaggymac.com
    14" Widescreen - 12.5" x 8"
    14.1" - 11.5" x 8.75"
    14" ibook - 12.375" x 9.25"

Anybody know which one fits best?
