    trying to put 7900gtx into inspiron 9400/e1705

    i did a search on topic of putting 7900gtx into 9400 and came up with about 100 results, none relevant to my issue tho..

    after frying my old geforce go 7800 i bought brand new 7900gtx off internet and today i tried putting it in. long story short, after installing it the computer only powers on briefly (for less than a second) and then shuts down strait away.

    i dont think there's anything wrong with graphic card itself since it's brand new. i tried putting old broken 7800 in and computer would power on, just without display.

    i used guide from here and everyone else can get it working. btw i do have bios version a01, so that's not it.
