I'm looking for a tv tuner card that will work well with an E1705. I'm looking for the best quality and highest resolution I can get.

I purchased a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950 USB tv tuner, and it recieves over-the-air digital/ATSC signals, as well as hard line cable analog signals. The only downside is that the usb tv tuners do not offer much in terms of hardware encoding (for power/bandwidth reasons), thus the encoding is done via software (cpu intensive). i have a 1.8ghz pentium 4 desktop with 1 gig of ram, which i tested it on, and it worked fairly flawlessly in standard definition, i couldnt get a hd signal where the antenna was, but i heard that it is pushing it on a core 2 2.0ghz processor (for hd that is). Other than that, the tuner is awesome, i cant wait to use it with my new d830 and my new 22inch viewsonic monitor. it allows me to turn that monitor into a nice tv, without spending the money on purchasing a monitor with a tv tuner built in...

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for, something compact that I can take wherever I go.
