    1) I have a dual boot situation I wish to undo. My latitude CPx offers Win2000 and Win Home XP at load up. I wish to delete Win2000 altogether. IOW, not just as a boot option but off my compter completely.

    2) A related inquiry. Programs on Win2000 for which I no longer have the installation media: Is there any way to copy these apps to the Win Home XP os without benefit of installation media?

Ans 1) Delete the partition containing Windows 2000 OR boot into Windows XP, then format the drive containing Windows 2000. Make sure you backup your data from there first ;)!

Ans 2)This i'm not sure, but i don't think so as certain files are required to be written to the registry or files for the program to work properly.

ans1> format the partition containing Win2000. search the file "boot.ini" open it in notepad and remove the entry for Win2000.This will remove the dual boot option screen you get at startup.
ans2> not quite sure but use the "file and setting tranfer wizard" in the Xp cd. not sure if you can copy the prog, but give it a try.
