after switching hard drives, network cards, reinstalling windows, drivers, copying files im up and running in my new m1330!

tha led display is amazing, the t8300 is fast, real fast and the computer is much more beautiful than i was specting!

the only downfall is that noisy slot load drive, sounds like if that evil cd that i put is hurting my baby =/...or like if there is a dying cate inside my xps

To answer that question I think we need to know what YOU will use it for.

if you are a hard core gamer, go for the m1530, if you are a casual gamer, go for the m1330, is more than enough power, plus the portability of a 13" computer ;)

Yea I filled out a FAQ between the Asus G1 and the m1530 and now I'm pretty much dead set on getting an XPS. I'll use it for basic stuff and photoshop, no gaming, that is if I don't get a ps3. If i get a ps3 I probably won't need too much power in a laptop.

If gaming plays no part it's purely a screen size issue. I opted for the M1330 even with light gaming (maybe an occasional weekend of Team Fortress 2 on lowest settings :p). If you are comfortable using a 13.3" screen, I highly suggest getting the 1330. You can of course dock it onto a larger display, and it's so light, I love it.

Yea, I think I'll have to see it in person before though. Whats got me torn is the superiority complex...I mean knowing that I have all that power in a 1530 would be cool, but now that I think about it, it doesn't make much sense if I won't even use half of it. Oh and I'll be doing a good deal of video conversion, is that dependent on a good graphics card?

No, that's CPU intensive. There's a user on this site who's dropped an X9000 into his M1330 though, so I wouldn't consider it an issue. I've got a T7300 myself.

Hmm, interesting, well summer's soon here so I'll see how it turns out. Wait....X9000...isn't that the extreme? How the hell does he cool that I wonder.

Probably very poorly, many members of the forum suggested against it, but he went through anyway and supposedly hasn't had problems. I wouldn't go higher than a T9500 myself, and that's pushing it. Realistically? T8300.
