Is it possible to upgrade to the dell draf N wireless card when the Intel G wireless card was installed from the factory?

    Thank You,

    Joe

Yes, though I wouldn't recommend it. Draft N is just that: a draft standard that might not be compatible with future finalized N hardware. Right now, draft n is a problematic tech that has many shortcomings and instabilities. PC Mag and other writers have questioned it's value over G and I think they are right...my work place attempted to use draft n and quickly reverted back to g because of all the problems we had with WiFi networking.

You can always upgrade later when it's become an actual standard & there are fewer issues. If you need a speedy connection, odds are you're hardwired anyway. Internet speed likely not even come close to 802.11b's actual throughput.
