    i want to upgrade my hard drive on 1520.
    i want to know the amount of hard drive it can detect and also its rpm.

    It can use any 2.5" SATA drive.

    Make sure it's 2.5 inch...

    Also make sure it's 9.5mm and not 12.7, although unless you're getting into 640GB, 750GB or 1TB, then it probably won't be an issue anyway.
