    PROBLEM SOLVED-I have a 24 inch monitor that I want to work with at home from the laptop, using an x1400 graphics card, but the problem is that the graphics card can only do one resolution in clone mode...

    its maximum resolution is 1440 compared to the other monitor which is 1920 so I am looking at my 24 inch monitor in 1440 mode maximum resolution or else using it as a monitor extension.

    Does anyone know a workaround so that I can use a larger monitor externally as the main workspace? is it possible if I put in a different graphics card if anything?

    GOT IT!strike me on the buttocks with a DVI lead captain, it's "fn+ f8" to modulate in between the LCD and the CRT-DAMN! I searched on the Internet it would have taken me hours to find a solution but writing something in this forum suddenly popped up with the answer-ooooo
