you have a VGA port, what ports does your tv have?

if it has a vga port then yes it will hook up easily, if you have a hdmi you can look for a vga> dvi adaptor and a dvi > hdmi cable

If you just have an RCA

    should work for you

Yup, all laptop VGA/HDMI/DVI are output ports so you can definitely view your use your TV as an external monitor. Like Erokitsune mentioned, you'll probably need an adapter if your TV can only accept HDMI or DVI. These can be purchased pretty cheaply from ebay or newegg. :)
