hey, you know those stickers they put on the bottom right of the laptop? where can i purchase these?
-
-
You cannot. If you're really interested in getting them, put up a thread in our Buy/Sell/Trade forums.
-
You can get them on eBay and perhaps some stores if you google it.
I know that the Intel Core 2 Duo sticker with the little 'Pull here' tag gives an extra 100mhz FSB and 20% boost in processor speed, so its a nice thing to have.

Did I detect sarcasm? -

You guys didn't know? That Intel sticker's tied into the Mobo - removing it decreases the speed of the computer. It's an anti-piracy thing.
-
-
You gotta solder it back onto the Mobo. That, or you can get around this anti-piracy measure if you pull off your CPU and break off some of them pins on the bottom.

i think i will buy amd next... -

I concur..

It's the reason why all of dell's 8600gts are DDR2, dell forgot the put the Nvidia sticker on it.
If instead they put the sticker, we would all have pimped out GDDR3 ram in our 8600gt. -
See "taking a joke too far".
The post's been answered, let the thread die. -

Jeez, didn't expect it to go that far. And guys, stickers don't mean a thing
Was just messing with you haha, my bad -
I like the stickers, and wish I had a couple more to put on random stuff. -

The stickers allows for more bandwidth and since it's constructed using zirconium it's used to distribute the heat away from the processor. There's a reason why some stickers are made using metallic components. Furthermore, if you take off some of the stickers (temporarily), you'll see mesh-like metallic lines embedded... supposedly an Intel-only innovation. I checked my P4 HT sticker from my desktop, it does have a mess sort and I read from intel that it connects to socket 478 and "improves general performance by implementing an 100KB increase in Cache"...
The sticker for the GPU, however, is useless.
