    here is my system:
    vostro 1400
    intel core 2 duo T5470
    nVidia 8400m GS
    Seagate ST9120822AS 120GB
    Dell 1390 wi-fi
    wxga screen w/out true life
    2GB RAM
    No webcam
    No bluetooth
    BIOS: A00

My laptop came with vista home basic installed and it worked fine but I had my vista business disc so I decided to upgrade.

After the upgrade finished and i restarted the laptop vista started loading, but before the little green thingy could reach the end of the bar for the first time it crashed.

This is the error I got:
    0x0000007B (0x8783FBA0, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

The next time I booted up my laptop vista loaded fine. But it seems like every second time I boot up it crashes.

I thought that the proper drivers from the dell support site will solve my problem but I was wrong...
I also tested my memory and got no errors....

Anyone heard about the same problem?
    HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLP

Probably needed to install the Intel Matrix driver during windows install.

If your computer cold boots fine (ie after you shutdown all the way) but BSODs on any kind of restart that is almost assuredly the problem.

I had the same symptoms when I upgraded from Basic to Ultimate (clean install). Right after installation, but before installing drivers, I would get the dreaded BSOD. After visiting Dell's support site and updating all the drivers, the problem was solved.

Another quick solution is to remove your battery for 10 seconds or so after reinstalling windows vista, then put it back in and boot up again. I had the same problem, worked a treat.
