    vostro 1400, t7100 to t8100

    I upgraded cpu to t8100 from t7100 on vostro 1400. it is
    working well.
    latest bios had to be installed. when i tried same thing
    on thinkpad t61, t8100 did not work
    because of thermal sensing error. i guess
    newer bios was needed.

    cpu score went up to 5.1 from 4.8

    after bios update, the booting became little
    slower. it was very fast. also, i can hear
    what i did not hear while booting.
