vostro 1500 DELIVERED!!! WOW

i like it.. ill post some pics and a review when i get home.. so far so good all is working and functioning as it should. its VERY nice looking. a little cheaper overall than i hoped but still very classy.. and the only colors i would have picked would have been blue or black.. the blue inspiron was my other choice.. overall im glad i picked the black..

one thing (another one) dell screwed up is my screen.. i was supposed to get the wxga+ but they sent me a wxga instead. i called them just now and got me my difference back since im actually fine with the screen i got it looks ver nice.. i bit dark though imo. i tried boosting contrast among other things and its much darker then the toshiba sitting next to it..

but otherwise dell was def a mixed bag during this process.. overall i got a great deal and so far like the 1500.. though i do now wish i had got the 1700 instead.. i gave it some hard thought and just didnt pull the trigger and now thats the only thing i regret.. post more later

no i got the glossy finish they sent me the xga+ instead of the sxga+ which is what i originally ordered but they did credit me back the difference and this screen looks fine to me..

 

congrats. what are you gonna be using it for? don't worry about getting the 15.4" instead of the 17". the 1700 would be heavier, have worse battery life, and be harder to carry around!

 

using it for everything, it now has 4gb of ram in it as well !!! lol i added it in just now.. now to see how much of it vista can detect..

i use this for my business and for everyday things there. i ditched the desktop in favor if the 1500.. and when i show customers their setup in their car or what it will look like when done they like o look at it as well..also for ringing people up etc... so i think the 17" would have been a nice asset imo

 

how much ram does the notebook detect? i gotta know!

 

will know soon i couldnt find a small enough screwdriver to do the stick under the keyboard yet, i will when i get home soon

i got 2 6 cell batteries with it..

i ordered the last week of july and it shipped on the 8th granted this was my second one the first took way to long imo so i cancelled and re-orderd, this one went very fast, not as fast as some others have reported but much quicker than i would have expected
