    i cant find one on dells site. I want the cheaper IR remote for the vostro 1500 notebook (so it plugs into the expresscard slot on the left). I wouldnt mind refurbished if it means cheaper. Anyone know where to get this ?

    It seems it is a lot cheaper to get it in the US from Dell than from eBay in UK.

    £9.99 + £1.99 delivery, £12 is hardly a break the bank price compared with $12 plus shipping from dell us its probably about the same and withouta long delivery wait

    i paid a tenner and think thats a price not even worth thinking about

    well i just ordered it from dell website. thanks for your input guys you all get +rep.

    I got it for 12$ shipped with Taxes (refurbished). And since shipping is free i chose Next day business shipping.

    This is my first experience at buying a refurbished product, i was always curious but sort of wary. since this item is only 12 dollars however i decided to go for it.

    If you are in UK, then there is no choice. Read my post carefully, it is $11 (not $12) and 2nd day shipping is free in US through 12/13.

    It works for Inspiron 1420, 1520, 1720 as well as Vostro 1400, 1500, 1700.

    It is the same one Expresscard slot travel remote.
    See this thread. Someone posted a picture of it on the last couple pages.

    Edit: I received mine and it works perfectly on my Vostro 1400.
