    vostro 1500 battery noise

    Hi there,

    used the forum to pick my new laptop and ended up with a vostro 1500. fired it up for the first time today and it is making a clicking noise that i will describe as the sound a stop watch makes when you click it down. the sound coincides with a blue flickering battery light, with no regular pattern. when the screen saver comes on, the battery light flutters as does the sound.

    any suggestions would be appreciated...thank you, Laura
