okay so, i left my web browser open for a while then when i come back to the keyboard and press any thing, specifically this time ctrl+f, the screen would would seemingly shut off. it would make a sound as if a usb drive was unplugged or something. the hard drive would stop making noise, but the power lights would still be on. pressing any button or moving the mouse would not bring it back. i have to press the power button after a while for it to come back. normally, it would just go to my screensaver if i let it alone for a long time, but this time it just goes directly to a black screen. this happened a couple of times recently and i never noticed it before. anyone know what this is? i really don't feel like talking with technical support, they're very difficult to understand. (sorry if that was racist)

is this just the laptop being idle? why did it move passed the screensaver then?
