just doing some browsing in Firefox, and then this black rectangle pops up on the lower right of the screen. something about the network cable, including a large icon of the plug. then this changes to something like "your network card is on and active" (?) and then the battery icon appears on the tray. when i go to click on it, it disappears.

i'm on AC power. inspiron 9400.

anyone know why? i've had the notebook for a few weeks now, i've never seen this behaviour.
