You could call and order that way, but you cannot buy Dell in any store. That has been Dell's way of keeping prices down (Builder to Seller relationship). You might try ebay.com for systems that are being resold.

Dell does not out there computers in retail stores, (like Bestbuy), only online, or in a Dell Outlet.

I would check Ebay as ccbr said, because they sell unopened Dell for at or near the price they paid. But you will have to go with the specs that they offer on Ebay though.

Why are you in need if buying a dell rather than the website?

Yes, but you order online with the Dell rep right beside you. They get a cut from the sale; that is all.

compudirect.com also sells Dells, but I would suggest you try going through the Dell.com website. Those coupon codes you can dig up here can really save you a bundle dealing with Dell direct instead of a 3rd party.

I'm with mon on this. You really should go with dell. You can also order over the phone if you like, but it is a bit tricker to getting the coupons working.

My problem with Ebay is that if you want a new laptop you need to buy from an authorized reseller. Dell has a policy where you can not sell a new notebook on ebay unless you are a reseller. There is also the warranty issue on ebay -- you have to make sure that you have all of the information to transfer warranty over.

You can order them at Dell Kiosks. Closest you'll get to stores. But I don't recommend it.

Go to the mall and check out the Dells. If you find one you like, go to Dell.com and use one of thoes $500-$750 coupons.

You can buy them from dell direct stores, as well as costco and some other computer stores. From places like costco you mostly order them though.
