I'm wondering, what the difference in benchmarks for my laptop would be vs the core 2's:

    me:

    -2.0ghz core duo
    -2gb 667
    -80gb 7200 hdd
    -7900GS
-surfing wax on the case to make it more aerodynamic

vs the same stuff but a comparably priced core 2

I know... it ain't out yet, but what's your ballpark guesstemate?

15-20% performance increase is what the consensus is.

It is less than 15-20%. The performance boost is not that big, but it gives you 64 bit capabilities.

With Vista comming out it maybe good for stabability, but currect me if i am wrong 64 bit is VERY bad for gaming (at least till games come out for 64 bit)
