Is there a difference between intel 945GM integrated video chip and the 950 one?
I have 945 on my Latitude(with Core Duo 2300;1,6 GH) and I wonder if it is as good for running the Vista Aero interface as the 950 chip(with the apropriate amount of RAM,of course)

the 945gm is the name of the chipset, i thought....not the name of the integrated gpu. and 945gm chipsets have the 950 integrated gpu if they don't have a dedicated one.

someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Thats correct. The integrated video chip is the GMA950, the system chipset is the 945, and it can have either integrated(GMA950) or discrete graphics options. If the laptop you are looking at only mentions 945, bank on getting intergrated graphics.

    Chipset: Intel 945GM
Integrated Graphics in 945GM: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950

The GMA950 does support Windows Vista.
